Makapuu Lighthouse

we went on a "hike" with some friends on saturday to Makapuu Lighthouse.  it was a paved path all the way, which was nice because i was able to bring the stroller.  i'm still waiting for kevin to get home to do most of the hikes i'd like to do since it's much easier with two of us and he can carry kaia in the backpack if need be while i carry layla in the ergo.  what WASN'T so nice about this hike is that it was a serious incline all the way up.  and pushing the two kids in my double jogger (it was too much for kaia to walk ALL the way up, but she did some) was a bit hilarious!  and just for the record: also hilarious?  two crazy mommas hiking with 4 kids.  at one point a bird flew out of some random hole right next to us while we were stopped.  we both screamed at the top of our lungs, people laughed at us, and then i dumped my stroller into a ditch! LOL!  i was hugging the right side on the way down because OMG, you should have seen the drop and all i could picture was me tripping and my stroller flying down the hill, with nothing to stop it but the water some hundreds of feet down.  so, the ditch was okay with me :)  anyway, some pictures!  the views were simply breathtaking and we saw some whales throughout the day, which was fun for kaia.  layla was just along for the ride, and snacks!
